Rebecca Chesney, "I'm Blue, You're Yellow" (2012-2017), Agnes Denes "Tree Mountain- A Living Time Capsule" (1992-1996/2013), Emanuela Ascari, "Hemp Phytoremediation Research Project" (since 2015) and "The Hemp Ways" (2015).
In 2012, Landlife commissioned Rebecca Chesney to plant "I'm Blue, You're Yellow," a wildflower meadow divided into blue and yellow fields, in Liverpool's Everton Park. These halves not only attract different insects, but they increasingly bloom out of sync.
Sited atop an aquifer known as this nation's purest source, the presence of Agnes Denes' "Tree Mountain" preserves this precious resource for centuries to come.
Emanuela Ascari is currently researching hemp's triple capacities in terms of: phytoremediation (using plants to adsorb pollutants from soil), CO2 absorption, and nitrogen fixing, which serves as a "green" fertilizer. It thus purifies the water, soil and air wherever it is planted.
"The Hemp Ways," the video displayed on the laptop, documents her performance for MACRO in Roma, IT.
