Touchstones, "Washing Line of Images & Texts" (2010-2017) and "Soil Shrine" (2015:2017)
Founded in 2010 by Miche Fabre Lewin and Flora Gathorne-Hardy, Touchstones is a collaborative art and research practice that is dedicated to remembering our ecological selves, respecting the genius loci of habitats, and restoring farming with nature. Part of "Touchstones: Everything is Here," images and texts hung on this washline capture seven years of co-generated and choreographed convivial environments for enlivening people's senses, awakening their imaginations, and inspiring everyday actions for living in balance with the earth. Touchstones are collaborative Artist-Research Associates with Centre for Agroecology, Water, and Resilience in Coventry, UK.
